In contrast to the other responses I would say I prefer a single 8TC. I found a bi-wire 8TC/4TC to be more detailed but also too forward and "in your face." Of course, YMMV :-)Having said all that, my suggestion would be that if you ask that question, you should try building the Jon Risch 89259 speaker cable, it is not difficult and will cost substantially less. If you like the results, then build another one and try bi-wiring for yourself.
