Oyaide's high performance level can't be cheaply cloned, I'm sure of that. This matter is similar to a cheap $6 pair of WBT locking rca clones that might look like the "real thing" but sure doesn't sound like it. WBT's US web site goes so far as to mention, "Often imitated (how flattering)...".There's no doubt that a knockoff AC plug sold on eBay can't provide anywhere near the level of performance offered by genuine Oyaide products. I'll vouch for Oyaide's unique sonic benefits.
In the case of the "mystery" AC plug, the eBay seller does not claim it to be Oyaide though, and in fact incorrectly states it as being "Hospital Grade". My only wonder is if the "mystery" AC plug is an entirely Chinese made product.
