The image shows a very smooth and shiny polishing of the Oyaide's rhodium plating (yummy). The "mystery" AC plug looks like it has a direct silver plating (it's sheen looks muted). BTW, the "real deal" aspect is not my point since I've spent over 500 bucks on Oyaide gear with no remorse :-) My interest in the "mystery" AC plug is that it might be yet another (possible) low-cost option other than Marinco or Hubbell plugs for inmate modders and DIY'ers. That's all.
