I do believe Porsche_Man's post is intended to bring attention to identical cords as the Absolutes being available at much, much lower cost elsewhere. If that's the case, he has a point. The Absolutes are basically stock cords with slightly better terminations and only slightly better sound IMO. Many of the high priced cords, while admittedly overpriced, are atleast handmade, some of expensive materials. I have no doubt that some like the Absolutes. It's important to find the "right" powercord for one's system and tastes. The Absolutes just may fit the bill for some, but I would venture to say that those people had not been using the "right" ones to begin with. Of course I could name a few, far more expensive cords that did not work well for me and that I liked less than the Absolutes. But I probably would have liked stock powercords better than those cords also.
