So what exactly is your point, that this is another example of audiophiles being ripped off or that, collectively, we are stupid to pay these prices? Of course the Absolute PCs are over priced but undoubtedly less so than most other cords on the market. I know a number of people who really like the Absolutes and they have replaced cords costing many times the cost of the Absolutes. I have not bought any of the Absolutes but I must admit I thought they were darn good, in absolute terms (no pun intended), and a steal compared to just about every other cord on the market.
