I have the Elrod EPS 1 and 3. I have also heard the signatures in my system. I have had the Shunyata King Cobra, the Viper II, and Cobra. I also have the Synergistic Master Coupler Active X cable.
I have compared them against one another. The Elrods are the best by far. They have a nice wide soundstage, a detailed warm sound, and very deep tight bass, low low noise floor. Nothing really compares to them.
The Shunyatas sound colored (overly warm), dynamically restricted, and rolled off at the top. The King is the best one, but no match for the Elrod.
I also really like the Synergisic when used with the active module, or better with the Master Control Center. It is not as good as the Elrod, but is only $400. At that price it is a steal. I prefer it to any of the Shunyata's I have mentioned.
