I know nothing about the Powersnakes or Synergistic Research, and my experience with NBS is 5 years old, but compared with FIM, Ensemble, Electroglide, Audio Note, and Absolute pcs, even the orginal Elrod EPS series is exceptionally dynamic, open, and clean. They work exceptionally well driving Sound Application filters. Only the Omega Mikro cables prove superior on front end devices as they are more neutral. Soon I hope to get my EPS Signature cables, which I am told are clearly superior to the originals. Having said all of this, I should also say that I know all too well that everything is very system dependent. Try them; you probably will like them.
