I read some of the archived threads on this topic and had some thoughts to add.I just bought two of the Eldorodo cords with the intention of reterminating them with the gold Furutech plugs.I can report on exactly whats inside for those interested in the Diy Quatro fil.The USA Nordost site describes the Quatro as four groups of 7 each group with monofil.spacer inside teflon tube all 4 tubes wrapped together(its teflon tape) dual silvered shield Pvc outer jacket.The Eldorodo is exactly the same.When they say the Eldo. has 10 conductors it means that each run of the cord has 4 groups of 7 plus the shield = 5 per side for a total of ten.In each cable The 4 groups are tied together for the pos. or .neg. and the shield of both cables are tied together to form the ground.I'm gonna give the Diy IC a go in a balanced config.and I'll report back on the results.
