As far as other cables you might want to listen to, the only ones I've heard on that exalted level are the NBS Omega cables, which I have found to be superb in every aspect. VERY bulky, though, something to keep in mind, although they do stay the way you bend them. I also have Nordost Valhalla, which I would place at a rung slightly below the NBS, just a little too lean for my preferences, although that's really only in comparison with the Omega. I'm going to be auditioning some Siltech for my phono stage/preamp run to compare to the Valhalla (the NBS is just too bulky for that run), I appreciate your post here as it's the Forbes Lake I'm trying out, and I'm debating Compass Lake as well. I'll let you know how the Valhalla stacks up to the Siltech, if you're interested; in any event, the Nordost certainly is worth your time to audition, as it is an excellent cable as well.
