We could define audio systems by using a scale based on neutral. Many reviewers do this by using phrases to describe speakers, cables or components as sounding "more neutral". It's an easy qualifying scale as:
Barely neutral
More neutral
Closer to neutral
Mostly neutral
Almost neutral
I considered "wishes it were neutral" but don't where it would go on the list.
I believe using one of these phrases to describe one's audio system would eliminate the need to use inappropriate superlatives which lead to the confusion often seen (and argued) on these forums.
Maybe someone else can come up with the implementation process for this "definitive" solution. Have a fun weekend. I'm always here to help. ;^>
