The Silver is a bit more neutral. IMO the Gold have a little more bass slam than I desire. If your system lacks bass or you happen to like more slam, then the Gold is a great cable. Paul Weitzel voices his TRL amps with the Silver. They are just as inflexible. If you think the power cords are bad try the speaker cables. If you're patient you can pre-form them to fit, but if you're not patient these aren't cables you want to mess with.A while back Musical Surroundings was the distributor for CRL. They decided to sell their inventory to another party who advertised them on Audiogon. Back then you could have gotten some great deals on the cables as they were being sold at 70% off MSRP. I bought the speaker cables back then. Paul Weitzel built me a digital IC, 2 power cords, and 2 pairs of ICs. All the Silver series. of them, the ICs are the least favorite, although they are very good.
