For 6M RCA Digital run you may want to get a DIP too?

Sorry, I just read your first paragraph when I posted about my shoot-out. For a 6 meter run I have always heard that a BALANCED cable is what you need, so right from the start you are getting in potential trouble running a digital cable that far. However, I own a Monarchy DIP, and one of it's great selling points is that it boosts the signal specifically for long runs while (I belive they state up to 100 feet!!)it gratly reduces jitter. Go to the Monarchy site and read up about them. you can find one used on Audiogon for around $100 to $150. It will add bass slam and definition to any moderetly priced gear. once I went from a Rotel CDP as transport though to a nice Theta I felt the DIP got in the way as it robbed the Theta of some of it's delicacy and air, but on a moderate system and on a long run it may be worth it to get the $130 digital cable and the Monarchy instead of the $500 digital. Although, you may find that the $500 digital will sound even BETTER w/ the Monarchy too! HA! Sorry, but cables can be that way.
FWIW, I have both the DIP and Sonic Frontiers UtraJitterBug, but never did A/B comparisons on the big rig and not sure if the UJB or any other jitter reducer does the boost thing that the DIP does?

FWIW, I won an auction a few weeks ago for an Aural Thrills Active Force IC and they sounded very close to my valhalla and Omega Mikro. I think they may make you a long digital for a reasonable price or look for the auction on Audiogon and he lets you add length I believe in proportion to the closing auction price? I am in no way affiliated w/ those guys, but at auction prices at Audiogon it's a no-brainer if you are patient
