I have tried a few DIY recipe's and at the end of the day there was no other IC recipe that can better Chris VH's silver IC's in terms of balanced ,articulate, extended and above all tonally correct sound in my system.I did deviate from the std recomendation by using WBT topline RCA connectors with wbt solder and used 30 awg wire, and stuffed the tube with cotton for damping. Do give it some time to burn in but sounds good right off the bat. These silver DIY IC's have replaced Acoustic zen silver ref IC's in my system for good.
