hi Kuma,i assume you are asking me to compare my experience with the HMS to my experience with the Siltech G5 Compass Lake. i had the HMS in my system for a week and the Compass Lake only for one evening. these events were a few months apart.
my perception would be that the Compass Lake is at a level or two above the HMS interconnect in refinement, inner texture, and detail. the Compass Lake is even slightly better in these areas than the Valhalla.....but.....the HMS is more neutral than the Compass Lake. i found the Compass Lake to be slow and thick compared to my Valhalla IN MY SYSTEM.
that said, the Compass Lake is much more satisfying to listen to than the HMS in my system. neutrality is not everything.....the Compass Lake has a wonderful ease and tonality that pulls me in.
overall, i prefer the Valhalla to the Compass Lake for it's dramatically better neutrality, openness and speed.....along with nearly equal ease and refinement to the Compass Lake.
the HMS is simply out-classed by the Compass Lake and Valhalla....in this case more money gets you better performance IMHO.
