Could you elaborate on your experience with cable burn-in? Details on cables, burn-in device, and evaluation metrics would shed more light. My experience with burning in Audiotruth Extreme and VPI Phonocables is different from yours. I used Nordost Cable Toaster. After burning in, the sound with Audiotruth mellows and becomes fuller. The soundstage depth did improve as well. But the basic sonic characteristic of the cables remains unchanged, i.e., that tinge of agressiveness in highs is not gone after burning-in. And neither Audiotruth nor VPI matches HMS phono cables.
