I very much appreciate your thoroughness. You mention in a later post that you first tried position 8 on the HMS and then went back to position 0. Is this to say that the cables changed as you used them? You briefly mentioned what you hear with these changes, but can you elaborate?You also tried both interconnects and speakerwires. I always found the Valhalla speakerwire to be better than the interconnects. Do you have an impression of whether the HMS interconnects are more important than the speakerwires?
I have a very selfish interest in this as I can afford a 4 m. run of the HMS but not of either the Valhalla or Siltech G5. I have about a one hour experience with a comparison of 1 meter interconnects from Siltech G5 and HMS last evening.
