Chris,
I have constructed two sets of your Silver ICs using Teflon tubing and Cardas RCAs. I've also built two pairs of your CAT5 speaker cable, and believe both of them to be the finest cables I've ever had in my system. I have been enjoying the sound now for 3 months, and like what I'm hearing. The problem is that the ICs are too rigid because of the tubing. That is not my main reason for building two more sets. I wanted to try to voice the cables to my system, given your recommendations on what gauge is to be used. I decided not to go the tubing route this time I have chosen a mix of polypropolene and polyester fibers surrounded by a braid of the same 3/16" thick. Then I've wrapped the rope(clothes line) with an 3/16" of Teflon tape. This is what I'd like to use for the body of the cable.
My question is, do you think this will this compromise the performace of the of your cable design in a negative way? I appreciate your time for reading and responding to this post.
Thanks Again,
Julien Therrien
