I own two pairs of Monster Z200i reference .5 m long cables that link my cd-player, preamp, and power amp. Not a long time ago I had a chance to compare them with two pairs of AQ Viper .5 long cables. Vipers are much more detailed cables, they emphasized the highs in my system up to a degree where I couldn't keep listening to music for more then 10 minutes. Maybe it has something to do with my components or perhaps the speaker cable that I've used (M2.4 bi-wire Monster cable). At the same time I had a chance to audition the system that use Viper interconnects and $2800 AQ speaker cable that sounded very well balanced.
If you want improve the bass response in your system and find the cable that would let you forget about the quality of sound when you listen to the music try Z200i reference cables, that is what they do in my system.
