With help from postings from fellow inmates, I've made a few power cords and I'm happy with the results. Now I'm interested in building my own power strips. No filters, etc, just a basic power strip with an IEC connection. I'd like to use an IEC receptacle rather than hard wiring, so I can experiment with various cable designs.I've tried to find the "Inalways" receptacle that is recommended but I wasn't able to find it at mouser.com. Does anybody have the part number? I was able to find another source for the Inalways receptacles, but they sell many different models, so I'm not sure which is "correct" (the recommended one that used to be sold at mouser).
Are there any other IEC receptacles that I should consider? Anyone have any experience with the Panel mount IEC receptacle sold by Acme Audio Labs?
Thanks
