I always find something of interest in your posts. You mentioned favoring the lean side of reality. Me too. Then, I'm always trying to balance it out. I recently listened to a Nordost "QF" clone IMS. While I found it to be somewhat leanish they were overall the "BEST interconnects" I've used IMS. The presentation was noticeably louder, cleaner and more expansive and detatched from the boxes they appreared. I had no problem accepting their signature IMS.Would you compare the reasoning for your choice of cables with that of a passive vs an active stage. I've always been a passive fan, for ALL the reasons you described in your cable preference. Warmth can be added but clarity and transparency is difficult to recover. I see your using an active stage, do you feel the two distinct product types have such commonalities?
