I've never understood the idea of one wire being "faster" than another. What do they mean? Are they talking about signal transfer rate? If so, I don't see how, given the speed of the current travelling through the wire vs. the length of the connection. Someone else said silver is more dynamic. Huh? Are not the dynamics of a recording governed by what happens in the sound booth during the recording plus whatever tinkering may happen during final mastering of the recording? Maybe I just don't get it, but I think that I do.I suppose the best advise I could give would be to see if any store would let you use a couple pair of cables on a trial basis. Maybe they could take your CC# as insurance that you would return them in good condition, and/or make your final purchase from them.
Good Luck, and don't drink too much snake oil along the way.
