The Genesis is Purist Audio Design's new low priced IC, and it's not liquid filled but rather uses Santoprene as the dialectic. At least I think so based on The Cable Company's description, though other sites say Teflon. It is sounding increasingly rich and open, and the highs are smoothing out nicely, but i'm nowhere near 200 hours of playing time (probably more like 75) and won't be by the time my audition is over. So, it will have to go up against the Equinox 7 at more like 100 hours. I understand that the Genesis ICs are triple cryoed just like the more expensive PAD ICs.
John and Stu - you recommend different burn-in discs. Have either of you compared the Ayre disc to the Purist Audio disc? Also, are these simply audio CDs that I could burn to my MacBook Pro? I don't have a CDP in the system I'm buying these for - just the computer and Bel Canto DAC/pre and amp.
