I've rolled a lot of different tubes on the FP II and the RCA Cleartop was the "clear" winner. ;) However, in the FP III they sounded too bright and anesthetic. So, I put in a pair of NOS Telefunken and they sound just right.I'm not ready to give up on my beloved Cleartops. Maybe I'll put them back in soon, now that the FP III has some hours on it....
