I guess my original post was not worded quite correctly. What I'm really wondering about is different types of tubes that will work in the FP III circuit, not just 12AU7 equivalents.For instance, I run DC heaters on my FP II and have enough current that I've tried 12BH7's, although I don't like them as well as cleartop 12AU7's.
