Dual outputs

Hi:
I realize that this may not quite be the appropriate forum, but I believe I stand the best chance of getting the right answer here--from people who know their way around the inside of an amp...
I need a preamp with dual outputs; but the one I am looking at
(AES AE-3) does not have them. Would a pair of solid Y adapters, such as the ones by DH Labs be just as good as having two outputs? What, it anything, would I be losing?
