Greetings,My search of the archives has turned up similar questions that have been posed, but no definitive replies from someone that has actually completed the modification. Some archived responses discussed using a non-shorting Double-Pole/Double-Throw switch.
Can the basic design be simply modified so that I can have a selectable "pass through" input with no gain/attenuation? This would make it simple for me to integrate the Foreplay into my existing system, which needs to retain my NAD receiver for multi-channel home theater use.
From what I have read, the Foreplay has a three input selector. It would be acceptable to me to surrender one of the three for the bypass if needed. However, I would prefer to retain the original three inputs with an added bypass selection.
I am definitely a "Skill Level 1" kit builder and am hoping that this is possible and straightforward. My concerns are; too much added complexity? Too much hardware to fit in the enclosure? Sonic degradation? Unreasonable added cost?
I look forward to your input.
Thanks,
Dave
