"Home Theater Bypass" for Foreplay?

Greetings,

My search of the archives has turned up similar questions that have been posed, but no definitive replies from someone that has actually completed the modification. Some archived responses discussed using a non-shorting Double-Pole/Double-Throw switch.

Can the basic design be simply modified so that I can have a selectable "pass through" input with no gain/attenuation? This would make it simple for me to integrate the Foreplay into my existing system, which needs to retain my NAD receiver for multi-channel home theater use.

From what I have read, the Foreplay has a three input selector. It would be acceptable to me to surrender one of the three for the bypass if needed. However, I would prefer to retain the original three inputs with an added bypass selection.

I am definitely a "Skill Level 1" kit builder and am hoping that this is possible and straightforward. My concerns are; too much added complexity? Too much hardware to fit in the enclosure? Sonic degradation? Unreasonable added cost?

I look forward to your input.

Thanks,
Dave
