Quick tube compatibility question.

I happened upon a pair of tubes this afternoon: GE 6ES8/ECC189. The seller's tube book listed them as a compatible replacement for the 6DJ8. Just thought I'd check here before I try them in my Seduction and cause an explosiion. Will they work?
