Hi Tott,
I have recently sold my kit built pair of 60 wpc otl's from Atma-sphere, the M-60 mkII's and bought a pair of Paramours. The Atmaspheres were very neutral and balanced and some say are the best amps ever made assuming the right loudspeakers but are very sophisticated and not the best thing for tube newbies. After hearing Doc's Amps and building a Foreplay preamp and having all the fun of trouble shooting and modifying to good effect I am sold on the simplicity of Doc's designs. Absolute sound aside I'd go with SE's. Although the sound is not really neutral, the musical liveliness is truly captivating and the accessibility to the intricacies of the design is realistic for those with less than master degrees in EE. Just my two bits.Garland.
