It does indeed sing, bud. Those TL-404s are awesome and I'm liking the wax caps too. I'm trying not to get too superlative about the sound yet since I just got the thing shaken out today and I'm still very much in proud papa mode. 30ips masters on an Ampex 351 with the headphone amp and some tweaked Sennheiser HD 600s had me ignoring everything else going on around here. It also kicks serious butt as a preamp. Bass control is really something, and the resolution seems very high. I can't see any ripple or fuzz on the output with my scope. I need to do a little research into grounding interactions with some other gear, but other than that it's bulletproof so far.
