I dropped into the local car audio dealer to have a chat about a few things. While in the store I got to looking at the bulk cable he has. On his roles he has IXOS power cable, I beleive it's intended for a car audio application. Anyways he has stuff from 12 guage, down to 4 guage. It got me to thinking about DIY'ing some cords with the 3 lengths of 12 guage in a loose braid. has anyone gone this route? Would there be any inherent safety issues I would be violating here? I relaize it's intended for 12 volt car audio, but I would think the insulator would be up to the job for a home application. Any comments and opinions on this subject would be greatly appreciated.Regards
