What amps for the B&W 600series?

I am helping a buddy of mine put together a resonably priced 2 chanell music system. He isnt a audiophile at all, but a huge music fan with a rather large vuinyl collection. He is upgrading from an old all-in-one rack system from the 80's which is pretty horrible. After bringing him to an audio show last year in NYC he was hooked aqnd finally descided to put together a nice system. He is on a budget of about $4-5k total. After listenting to a bunch of speakers he finally bought the B&W 603s3 and now is asking me for help choosing an amplifier. I think he is best off with an integrated at his budget of about $1000. A phonostage would be a bonus because his music collection is mainly vinyl. Any ideas on what integrateds will work well with the B&W's? I was thinking maybe the Musical Fidelity X-150 or Arcam a80 would be a good place to start. Any other ideas what matches well to the B&W's?
