I wouldnt buy the Acurus and expect it to be much of a differance over the Rotel amp. They are of about the same quality. The desciding factor will be what pre-amp you use with the Acurus, if your planning on using the Rotel receiver as a pre-amp don't expect much of an improvement if any. Paired with a good pre-amp though the Acurus could sound very nice.
