I got both SS and tube amps So as not to stir the bee nest I would only speak for myself, I love tubes. For tubes you have to bias or replace it, but tube rolling will give you different sounding amps. So it would depend if you like to tinker with components. Same with turntable, you have change, brush, and apply elixir on the cartridge,
but different cartridge, different sound. So for easy listening cd player with SS amps, for ceremonial listening turntable with tube amps.Joseph
