Not a contest

Hiya,

(Blue Circle Dealer here)

I just wanted to say that in my opinion, your amplification choices are very, very, important. One can't underestimate the value of good, clean, power that matches up with your artistic and musical choices, your speakers and your room. Too many people discount the importance of the amplifier and system matching with their speakers.

This is not a contest and there are NO right and wrong choices. Only what fits for us, our musical tastes, and our associated equipment. I'm not trying to say that Rogue gear isn't great gear. It's just not "right" for me. I don't like it, - but I'm just me, with a certain set of historical listening values, tastes, and associated equipment under certain applications. Plus, as I mentioned, I may have heard Rogue gear in a certain context that is less than optimal. (Not to mention that I'm going to test a stereo system with techno and world music, which may possibly present different demands on an amplification system than other genri of music).

My question, (and really I didn't intend it to be a criticism of Rogue), was how can you dig both when both are very, very, different? Unless of course, this new Rogue integrated sounds a lot different than previous Rogue products that I may have heard, given too that I may have heard them in the wrong context.

Trust your own ears, if you prefer Rogue: that's awesome, it's all about what gear makes us happy and makes us love our music.

Sorry too if I played a role in hijacking this thread....

Cheers,
