We had one of the first 5 channel all tube systems set-up here for demo years ago. We used Jolida amplifiers. All he needs to do is to substitute the two front speakers power from Denon to Jolida. Just connect the Denons pre-outs for the mains to one of the Jolida input. and you will have all sources connected to the Denon run through the Jolida as the front L and R amplifier. When you select "Stereo" on the Denon receiver, it will be true stereo through the front speakers only and you can still use the Denon remote control.
