Channel Islands D-100 Digital amps

I'm having a meeting of local audio folk from the HTT and Audio Circle forums next month. Any AA members who read this are invited too. Please E mail me for directions. The focus of the meet is a comparo of the NuForce Ref 8s, and the Channel Islands D-100 digital monoblock amps. You can check my registered system for associated equipment.
I started this post to say that by day 2, with about 5 hours on them, the CI amps are very nice. Say one, they were veiled/not crisp, but very dynamic with great bass. Last night, day 2, they had lost the veil and were quite transparent. I was running 1952 Sylvania 6SN7GTs in my Cary preamp, and the sound was full and almost juicy, but with detail and bass galore. This morning I switched out the 52 Sylvanias for TungSol round plates and lost the juiciness, but kept the full tube sound. With almost no breakin, the CIs sound better, ie fuller, fast but not too so, more bass, and more like a good tube amp than my previous experience with BelCanto 200.2 and early EV02.
Special thanks to Channel Islands Audio for loaning me the new D- 100s, and Shane Sangster, the Home Theater Doc of Raleigh, NC and Audio Circle fame for the loan of fully updated NuForce Ref 8s.
