Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

I'm building a JLH69 class A amp with 10W/ch output. I'm looking to have 22 or 24Vac into my circuit regulated down using a 7824. I'm shooting for an Iq of 1 to 2 amps at 24V. What are the good rules of thumb for sizing an appropriate transformer in Volt/Amps. Per channel or for both channels? Is there really much improvement to be had by going dual mono trannies? Or is one big guy for both channels good enough?
thanks,
