I took my SLP 98 into Cary today for the Cap upgrade. I called yesterday and asked Dennis about Hovland or other caps. He said that what they use has proved to be best for the 98. He is the designer, shouldn't he know best? It takes a while for the caps to breakin, like 300 hours. Maybe some people are judging the sound before breakin since several posters have expressed satisfaction with the cap upgrade.
