very helpful. The amp is probably the next move. Not sure when because I still enjoy the sixpacs. I've recently been trying several different tubes in them. Currently using RCA 12BZ7 (1968); Mullard EL84 (1973) and the new current production "Mullard" EL34's. Plus I just got the last of the Acoustic Zen out and replaced with Audience AU24. The AU24 is through the entire system. The music is sounding better then ever.
I agree...the one component that I may never replace are my Merlins.
