Jack,
The Ongaku MKII from Japan actually had a retail of $89,400. The new Ongaku MKII from Japan now retails at $50,000. The Ongaku on Audiogon is indeed from Japan but is NOT a MKII version as stated. That unit was actually made in 1996 and the MKII versions didn't come out until 1999.
