What is the new preamp that is arriving soon? Is it a Cary?
Since your room is small, do you think that you will need more than 50wpc? Do you have room in your rack for monoblocks?
The hottest tube amp going right now is the Cary/AES Six Packs. They are 50 wpc triode power, and cheap at $2400. I got my V12i upgraded to R , and it sounds the same. It just depends on if you have room for two components or one.
I have a similar room to yours as my system shares space with two puter systems down one wall. My room is 11x13 w/8'ceiling. So far, 50 wpc is all I need.
