Unless you want a great tubed headphone output, you might be happier with a Cary 98 preamp. This is from a very happy 2002 user. Cary makes a SLP 98P version with a decent tubed phono section, but not enough gain for MM carts. Cary wil have a new phono pre comming out next month, along with a tube tuner.Cary's present phono pre is good, but at $3500, it's too rich for my blood.
