I think the " bright emitter" tube was first used over 100 years ago and has long since been replaced with tubes which operate at a much lower temperature. 3000 degrees is blast furnace level heat.
Some years ago I had a pair of Antique Sound Labs monoblocks which used 845 tubes. Those amps were unusable in an NYC summer due to their heat output. They sounded great but I eventually sold them and wasn't sorry to see them go.
