RE: Cary SLI-80 Owners re: main AC fuse accessibility

Excellent photo, very helpful! On close inspection with very strong lighting, I found the tab/slot and the drawer popped right out with the fuse. Unfortunately I also discovered that Durocell batteries leaked bad inside my multimeter and I'll need to buy a new one to test continuity of the fuse.

Another question. Notice how the IEC in your photo has 'ears' for the connection hex screws on the outside of the amp chassis. The IEC in my amp does not have these. The IEC is fully inside the amp chassis.

Im asking because when I earlier took the IEC set screws out in an attempt to find the fuse, I wonder if there were nuts that held the hex screws and one of those nuts fell into the chassis.

The left hex screw now does not fully tighten. It was very tight previously. The right set screw fully tightens.

If there's a small nut in the bottom of my amp, it could be a fire hazzard, right? Do I need to remove the bottom plate and check?
