Dennis Had is interesting. He owned Dentron a manufacture of Ham Radio linear amplifiers. Then owned Amp Supply and Prime Instruments who made Ameritron. His secretary liked Dennis and that ended his marriage. Then, as the Ham Radio amplifier went soft in sales, he sold Prime Instruments and started Cary Audio about in 1987 I think. There was not a lot of competition in tube amplifier manufacturing back then. So, it was kind of ingenious starting the business. As stated in the other post, after he retired from Cary Audio he started Inspire Amplifiers. There was an agreement when he retired and Cary Audio was purchased from him, he would not start competing with Cary Audio with building amplifiers for five years. He started Inspire before five years, but Cary Audio did not sue Dennis. There is a 'thin line' that a person has the right to make a living, thus agreements not to produce an item does not always hold up in court.
