I bought the Rega Io for my son a couple of days ago. He has his Rega P2 (carbon cartridge) and TV connected and playing through an old pair of PSB 300 speakers. His text message read "Wow. It sounds great." If he's happy, I'm happy.

I read your post verbatim on Audiogon previously, and I appreciate your posting it here. I will tell you though that I was an editor at a trade magazine for years and developed a sense for copy that was original content and copy that was from--shall we say--financially interested parties. Your copy set alarms off. I could be wrong, of course, but it left me wondering.

Regardless, that has no true bearing on the quality of the Rega Io and my satisfaction with its purchase.
