I have two 101s also. One still in storage and less pristine than the one I am running today.
I do plan on replacing all the caps, diodes, and some of the transistors - whatever component replacement kits I can find although I doubt the kits will provide audiophile grade components.
Probably will also improve the power supply wiring.
I doubt I will be bypassing the switches, I want the advantage of the multiple sources for my turntable, analog radio, RT-909 and RT-707 tape decks, and the Schiit DAC.
First time in a long time I have listened to a fully discrete component SS preamp and it has some really nice qualities. Much more bass than I was getting from passive attenuator.
