I only buy what I have auditioned and since I have heard Wyred4Sound because they presented their gear at the California Audio Show in 2019 I was able to audition them.
Buying the mAmps doesn't mean I find them to be the best in class or anything. They serve a need and if a competing outfit thinks they can do better they can send me an email and arrange for a review.
FWIW I hated Bel Canto many many years ago and I believe they used/use ICE power as well. So either the ICE power has gotten better or it's about how the manufacturer is implementing it.
Many CD players use the same transport mechanism or DAC Chip but the machines are more than a single part.
Further, there is a "rest of the system" to consider when matching components. Parasound is a little warmer than Bricasti so the results with ATC speakers worked better than Bricasti. But perhaps on a warmer speaker like a Castle speaker or ProAc, the Bricasti might be more balanced.
