Those 126DC speakers have been the Graal of his whole life. My friend will not replace them with a couple of mini monitors + subs, especially when the 126 sound absolutely amazing with a tiny Nuforce amp. ;-)
I really don't find the MF amp to sound good, sorry... it sounds dark and lacking. If you have high sensitivity speakers with Fostex horn tweeters and it sounds DARK, then something is really amiss in your system!
But I suppose some people like that sound and call it "intimate"; I'd rather call it a 4000$ fraud (I know that's harsh but seriously... a lot of audiophiles, I think, stray too far from the reality of sound, with products that are velvety, thick, and boring!)
