Home Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

Mazel Tov, one thing though.....

......you can have him fix the immediate problem, or you can have him do a bit of restoration. I would find out the projected costs of both.

If you can stretch, go for some restoration, as there are other parts in there that are at, or past, life expectancy. But don't sweat it either way. It's a nice amp.

I resto modded mine about 12 years ago and it is still going strong in fine shape. The tubes are, relatively cheap, and it is reliable and all parts can be replaced. Doesn't get much better than that without spending long green. Best of luck with it, and please report back.
